Version 2026-06-17 · Effective on acceptance
1. The beta program
The Laplace closed beta gives a limited group of researchers early access to features that are still under active development. The purpose is to evaluate the software and gather your feedback. Access is by invitation and is personal to you; please don’t share your invite code or beta credentials.
2. Pre-release, “as is”
Beta features are pre-release and provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Beta features may be incomplete, may change or be removed, may contain errors, and may be interrupted. There is no service-level commitment, uptime guarantee, or support obligation during the beta.
3. Outputs are advisory — verify before you rely
Laplace produces statistical models, metrics, and reports for decision-support only. They are not professional advice and are not guaranteed to be accurate. You must independently validate results before relying on them, and you must not use Laplace as the sole basis for decisions in medical, clinical, legal, financial, hiring, safety-critical, or otherwise regulated or high-stakes contexts. Trust scores and Beta labels are guidance, not assurances.
4. Your data
You keep all rights to the datasets, models, and content you upload or generate. You grant us a limited license to host and process them solely to operate the service for you and to investigate issues you report. We do not train our own or third-party foundation models on your private data, and we do not sell it. Because this is a beta, please avoid uploading data you cannot afford to lose and do not upload special-category, regulated, or third-party data you’re not authorized to process. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and, for business customers, the DPA.
5. Usage data & feedback
To improve the product, we collect usage and diagnostic data about how the beta is used (for example: pages viewed, features exercised, errors, performance, and the feedback you submit). This is described in our Privacy Policy. Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions you provide are given voluntarily, and you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them to develop and improve our products without restriction or obligation to you.
6. Confidentiality
The beta software, unreleased features, and any non-public information you learn through the program are our confidential information. While the beta is closed, please keep them confidential and don’t publicly disclose, benchmark, or share screenshots of unreleased functionality without our prior written consent. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of yours.
7. Acceptable use
Your use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Don’t attempt to disrupt or circumvent the service, and don’t use it for unlawful purposes.
8. No fees
Beta access is provided at no charge unless we tell you otherwise in advance. We may introduce or change paid plans for generally available features after the beta.
9. Term & termination
This agreement applies for the duration of the beta. We may modify, suspend, or end the beta — or your access to it — at any time, with or without notice. You may stop participating at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including data, feedback license, confidentiality, warranty disclaimer, and liability limits) survive termination.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your participation in the beta. Our aggregate liability relating to the beta will not exceed US $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
11. General
Except as modified here for beta features, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy continue to apply, including their governing-law and dispute provisions. If any part of this agreement is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
